On April 1, 2017, 8chan was hacked, I own /animu/ on there and I wanted to make this board in case 8chan doesn't come back or another such situation occurs in the future.

1 Follow the Global Rules

I've temporarily turned off the ability to post with tor (on this board, not the main one) as there are some (tripfags from /animus/) who tried to abuse it and it makes it hard for me to do my job as moderator.

Anyone else going to see Reiketsu-hen tomorrow? Hyped as fuck for the finale of the decade of waiting.

I kind of lost interest in the series after Hana and Tsuki, Bake and second season were the only installments that I really enjoyed watching.

I don't know how to fill the void gay dragons are leaving in my heart. Although I wasn't as wowed by the last episode as I was expecting to be, I still think I might have to name the show anime of the season.

Anyway, I made this board on .net as an alternative to /a/ for those who don't like its moderation, it wasn't that active and it seems that none of the people from there know about this site which is why there are no posts at all. Please visit the board once the main site is back online.

>want to watch anime

>too busy to watch anime

what do.

Don't you ever have days off or something?

Watch Luluco?

Teekyuu would be a good choice as well.

That was a great episode, but this is total bullshit. Should have just let it end on the emotional peak notes instead of throwing in this twist.

>I won't bully you for liking Re:Zero

I do understand why a lot of people dislike it, I myself actually started watching the first 2 episodes with the expectation that it was going to be shit but I had a lot of fun with them.

>and retread too many of the same points from the OVA+movie

I've read similair things elsewhere, the fact that the series starts out with her being a new student that has just arrived when (I think) that was already covered in the first movie does suck.

Ah well, even if the show doesn't quite have the same feeling as the movies I can imagine I'd enjoy it as its own thing.

Are there any other shows from the previous season or current season you're currently watching?

Re:Zero had two double-length episodes at the start, right? I know at least the first one was. Still, despite that giant block for an introduction, I found it completely generic and lackluster. Honestly I knew it was going to be average at best from the moment I saw the 3DPD townsfolk. I don't think the tonal shifts suit the underlying premise, especially in an introductory period wherein the main character fails to understand the premise when it is shoved right in the viewer's face. I went into the first two episodes with a bit of hope because I'd heard talk about the LN before and the premise seemed like a good start, but I dropped it right there with the first two.

Previous season: S Konosuba, S(+ pending a solid last episode) Dragon Maid, A Gabriel Dropout, A- Rakugo (first season was S+), B+ ACCA, C+ Demi-chan, Z– Chaos;Child (worse than fucking Chaos;Head).

I haven't started the new season other than Eotena Assault because I'm going to marathon the first episodes with a few friends after we go see fucking Kizu. I'm also looking forward to Uchouten Kazoku because that might be an AOTY contender like the first season.

>Honestly I knew it was going to be average at best from the moment I saw the 3DPD townsfolk

Yeah the shitty CGI was part of the reason why I expected the show to be shit. I guess I just really liked the show because of the concept of an immortal MC that actually has to find a solution to an issue every arc instead to prevent his friends from dying extremely painful deaths instead of fighting enemies with the power of friendship like what you'd normally expect from a fantasy action anime. I also found the MC to be relatable at times.

>I'm also looking forward to Uchouten Kazoku because that might be an AOTY contender like the first season.

I watched the first season in july or august and a few weeks after that I read the anouncement of the new season, I had never expected it as it seemed quite obscure and it was already 3 years old, guess I got lucky with that one as I enjoyed it as well.

I'm currently catching up on Gabriel Dropout at the moment and I finished Akiba's Trip 2 days ago. Gabriel Dropout is enjoyable but not quite what I expected of it as I thought it would've been more of a "cute girls doing cute things" kind of a show, Akiba's Trip was nothing amazing but there were some moments that I genuinely thought were funny which is always a good thing.

I think Gabriel Dropout was pretty much dead on for a cute girls doing cute things comedy, right down to the in-character OP that sounds terrible. Compare with last year's masterpiece, Anne Happy.

Patrician taste anon, I hope Anne Happy can at least get an OVA someday.
